Kerry + Chris
August 4th, 2022
Le Chateau
Congratulations to my sweet friends Kerry & Chris, who tied the knot on a gorgeous Thursday afternoon in August, 2022. This was one of the hottest weeks of the year, but they managed to make it look very, very cool :)
Kerry & Chris are a couple that I knew I would love from day 1 of even talking to them on the phone. They are super sweet, very friendly, big fans of movies (especially horror), and SO FUN to talk to. I felt immediately like they felt like old pals of mine -- which is the perfect recipe for a fantastic photog-client relationship. Their engagement session in Beacon, NY was one of my favorite engagement sessions to date - and I knew right then and there that their wedding would be one of my favorites as well. It was. It rocked. Everything rocked.
This was my first wedding at Le Chateau, and I was so happy that we were able to use all of the amazing photo spots that this gorgeous venue has to offer. I could also tell by just observing the crowd that every guest, K+C included, that everybody had an absolutely fantastic time.
When we showed up on site, we started detail and getting ready shots with the guys and girls, and I absolutely loved the custom cufflinks, personally photoshopped movie title save the date from their engagement session at Story Screen movie theatre in Beacon, and SUPER super cute intimate gifts that Kerry and Chris chose to exchange -- a special shoutout to the "She keeps me WORM" card that really tickled my funny bone.
After an emotional first look and some JAW DROPPING moments using the entry hall's stairway and panorama windows, we took wedding party and family formals all over the venue and then prepared for the ceremony. I particularly loved this ceremony because of how emotional everyone was - and I really mean everyone, not just Kerry and Chris -. Happy tears all around. I may have joined in.
Don't even get me started about this reception. First of all - the beauty of the reception hall. I just loved this room, the absolutely perfect décor K+C chose, and the way the sun at golden hour shone through the crystal chandelier and cast little rainbows all over the room, the sweetheart table, and the cake. I loved the way that the wedding party really brought the energy for introductions, and the sincerity and emotion during all of the speeches and special dances. When all of the guests hit the dance floor, things got REAL. People were LOVING the tunes - almost every person on the venue was rocking out, and I couldn't get enough of it. I feel like this wedding started "the summer of Meat Loaf" for me, because after this day, Paradise by the Dashboard Light was played at almost every wedding I went to, to the extreme delight of the crowd.
Kerry and Chris... thank you so much for having me and my team at your wedding. It was an honor and an absolute JOY to work with the two of you to document every perfect moment of this absolutely spectacular day. I hope you had the best day of your lives, and I can't wait to see what is next to come, as you approach your first anniversary together! Love you guys forever, cheers to YOUR forever!!
