Alex and David's Engagement Session at The Washington National Cathedral, Washington DC

THIS COUPLE IS EVERYTHING. Y'all know how I feel about my sorority sisters reaching out for their big life events... safe to say I was absolutely over the moon when Alex & David reached out to me for their Portland, ME wedding. When it came time to discuss all things engagement photos, the idea of a shoot in their current city came up and I was so on board. Just by looking at these photos, I think we can all agree that Alex and David's engagement session at the National Cathedral was well worth a train ride down to Washington DC.

These two have a very sophisticated, simple glamour about them that I am really drawn to. I absolutely love the way they styled their outfits, Alex's hair & makeup, and the backdrop they chose - WOW. Can we talk about the National Cathedral for a second? I've been to DC once before, but I hadn't ever been to this specific location. Google doesn't even do it justice, it is just so gorgeous - and HUGE - in person! A perfect mixture of elegant white / tan stone and pretty gardens for a pop of color, this really was the perfect setting for an engagement session with the loveliest couple.

Alex and David - you two are the coolest. I can't wait for your wedding this summer, and I am just so happy that we are working together! Enjoy these photos, and cue the official final countdown to the big day!
